Doing things without the internet feels like a punishment but then it passes through me and I get over it because I know I’m not being watched at this point.

These fringe environments are where the small-town power accumulates. I have seen this before. Know the good ones. The people that persist over time are the winners. Rarely does longevity not pay off. I’ve seen it once and it was on the internet alone. Face to face, we have to acknowledge loyalty. Regulars develop like mildew. I don’t insult my readers, if they exist. I say what I mean and try not to ask if you understand. In person I often ask, does that make sense? Doing that is fine, I just don’t want to expend the energy to explain my brilliance to someone who isn’t listening, That feels too much like marriage.
