After last weekend’s wildness, it’s understandable if you want to take it easy for the next few days. However, July 4th is around the corner and there will be plenty of private parties for kicking back. June has been a hot month for happenings and I don’t plan to quit now. Not everything has to be turned up to 11, so if you’re tired take a look and choose one of the less intense activities for this weekend.
I set out early last night with a plan. The gods chortled as I was derailed by caffeine (or lack thereof), low funds, and excessive anticipation. Fun was had, but I had a slow start finding it.
The party gods must’ve heard my prayers. Black Lodge is throwing ANOTHER shindig. This one is tomorrow night (Tuesday) and kicks off around 9:30ish.
They’re even serving food. You just don’t have any excuses now.
Last night, there was magic in the air. Everywhere I went, people were in good spirits and having a great time. Of course, this means there was so much happening that I couldn’t get to everything I wanted to do. So I’ll just focus on the important part – Memphis creative expression at its best! After two nights in a row of being a butterfly, this moth is going to spend some time at home. Dogs, couch, comfort. *sigh*
If you’re looking for some fun, I hear Black Lodge is having a party. The Hi-Tone is always a nice place to wait out the rain. Or if the weather has you down, go see the sights at the Minglewood goth scene.
