Wow. Memphis was rocking and everyone came knocking this weekend. Saturday, I hit five parties and only 3 of them were intentional. After a long week of chaotic events and whiskey, I decided to go for a low-key option last night. At least that’s what I thought I was doing. In the month of July I sort of dropped the ball on events and happenings around Memphis. Let’s face it, the month was jam-packed full of fun things to do. If you were waiting for me to tell you about them… well then this blog must be way more popular than I thought.
Anyway, I had a great time enjoying myself and writing up some of the highlights. I’m going to give you some of the events for August so you can mark your calendars and plan ahead, before The Christmas in September hits. Wow. The weekend was so much fun I barely remember last week. I also have a terrible memory, so it’s not as severe as it sounds. This weblog turns 3 weeks old this Thursday, but it feels like it’s been months since the beginning of June. It’s been a pretty hectic time for me – attempting to do/see/hear everything within a 10 mile radius gets challenging at times. Fortunately, I’m not someone that backs down from a challenge.
Last night, there was magic in the air. Everywhere I went, people were in good spirits and having a great time. Of course, this means there was so much happening that I couldn’t get to everything I wanted to do. So I’ll just focus on the important part – Memphis creative expression at its best!
