I look at the sunset
And say – that’s cool.
Do you hear passion
In the understatement?
My aching heart wincing
Pain from nature’s beauty.
Consistently unique colors
Smeared on temporal entropy
Like butter on dry toast.
I’m humming a melody
only I can hear. Monotone.
The chords are too weak
To support the structure.
Fortified harmonic lining
For her pleasure, at least.
Unintentional attention
Drawn to the sound itself.
