Home

Tonight felt like coming home. After leaving for so long it’s strange to feel back. Like the first summer after college. Forgotten among misfits, all of us toys.

I built a bed today. My first bed in many ways. It feels better not being on the floor. I feel like a cat in a tree. Enjoying the view. Not thinking about the climb down. Inevitable.

I love my little life. Low maintenance integrity, always smiling. What’s not to love? Starting over is not bad. Parts of it doesn’t feel good. That’s why some people peel their vegetables. I like to eat the skin, that’s where the history is.

Time to invest in trampolines.

BagOcK

The first thing I think
Is why
not who or where.
The colored statements
Of marginal people
Stirs the cauldron.
We’re still melting
Salted with outliers
Peppered with love.

Abide and elude
Cool your heels dude
Finish the last war
Learn from the past
Too old to march
Too young to lead
Cusp generations
Sure got it tough

Sub to the urban
Dom to the rural
Easy to see why
Struggle unseen
Pain beneath scars.
Destiny leads temerity
To the fate of pandas
And pod people.

Mall Mouse

My adventures at the Oak Court Mall were tame. There used to be a garden in the center. I don’t know if it’s still there.

Mall of Memphis was the shit. Still the only skating rink I’ve been on. East End was great, I just never connected to rolling. On ice, I can glide.

Hickory Ridge was close to home. Not somewhere I was left to my own instincts. I prefer the carousel to a fountain.

I go to Wolfchase as often as I think about the movie Dancing With Wolves. Both take more time from my life than I’d like.

I respect Kevin Smith for making me gag every time.

My Day Off in Haiku

Did not work today
Slept until all the way done
Such a nice surprise

Get home to relax
I left my phone in the car
No hurry to get it

Cleaned out the kitchen
Unloaded thoughts on my mind
Then took a shower

Now I sit and wait
For the weather to darken
Parties on the line

Is it fair warning
If I wear red flags all over
And call it a dress?

Be Nice or Leave!

The party is brewing.  The music is scheduled.  Haven’t finalized everything however…

My birthday party is happening!
@ the P&H
Sunday Sunday Sunday
September 6th starting at 7pm

That’s the Sunday before Labor Day.  That means you can be there unless you really can’t.  All you folks who have family plans and fancy vacations can still donate 5$ if you want to!

Confidentially

Too pretty for you
Not tall enough for him
In a league of her own
No one to play with
Only too much woman
Because of the stares

That’s not confidence
Just nice tits

The object
Desired
Less shine
Obtained

She doesn’t need you.
Don’t make her wait
No time for games
Hesitation kills the mood
Fear wastes opportunity

?

Wait.
What was I doing.
Oh yeah.

Relaxing.
Hard week.
Surrounded
Under Pressure
Swallowed
Can’t breath

Keep them happy
Always say yes
Smile
Nod
Dance dance dance
Ignore the pain
Forget the past
Need you now
And forever
is looming
like a tidal wave.

Setting the stage
Always prepared
No planning.
Need manifests
Wants?
Needs.
Take This
It’s Dangerous
To Go Alone
Except
In this case.
Always alone
Better being
aware
I am.

Liberty

Considering world dominance
Maiden Mother Crone
Sitting in a coffee shop
Discussing the best way
To control men.
Misguided efforts.
Ignore men
You’ll get what you want
For yourself
When you work for it.
