Now I’ve gone and done it…

I have prepared for this as much as I can and now it is time to take action. This site is officially up and running. My primary endeavor is to update at least once a day. I don’t know what kind of content I will have at first, so suggestions or encouragement are welcome. I will probably feature a specific Memphis location once a week. Naturally I will start with the ones I know or like best. After that, the adventure begins.

Now, a little history.

This all started a few months ago when someone suggested that I find a creative outlet online. As a writer and social train wreck, I decided that getting my ideas out where others can read them is vitally important. I’ve learned so much from so many great people, it seems a shame to waste it.

The ultimate plan is to create a community where people can find resources on places, hobbies, activities and whatnot that give you the good AND the bad of it. The main thing that prevents someone from branching out and trying something new is usually fear of the unexpected. Let’s take the guesswork out and just reveal the flip side of a “great” bar or an “awesome” sport.

You just might find that your assumptions about trying something new are completely unfounded. Or maybe they are and a whole bunch of people that agree with you about the bad have found an alternative that is much better.

Why not follow that inkling to break out of your routine? Why not have one day a month where you do something completely out of character?

So cross your fingers and keep me honest. I want to build something great. It starts with me telling you about what I do and why I like it. Or why I don’t. But the new things will be done and I won’t hold back the gory details.
