Someone introduced herself as a suicide survivor once.  Interest reflexively piqued, I’m immediately suspicious of anyone advertising self harm.  

By its nature alone, talking about it is one of the signs you won’t do it. Irony what it is, suicide’s also a side-effect of some drugs. Which is to say that the placebo effect can be disastrous for someone barely hanging on as it is. Or you like heroine just a little too much.

I’ve been on this case since 2004 and have little reason to hold back. Like a princess with her pea, I feel there’s something left to be discovered. Hurtling through space and nothingness, I’m confident the other shoe hasn’t dropped.

The point is, survivor is a strange word for it. Suicidal is not a personality trait successful people survive.
